The Board of Trustees and Superintendent Darryl Adams are happy to welcome the Plymouth State University Chamber Singers and Dr. Dan Perkins, director of choral activities at PSU to the Coachella Valley Unified School District. During their 3 day visit from January 14-16, 2015, the Chamber Singers and Dr. Perkins will tour several of our area schools and present CVUSD students with interactive workshops and performances.

Designed by technology and communications firm K12 Insight, Let’s Talk! is an open feedback form on the district website where anyone can submit questions, concerns, suggestions and compliments directly to district staff anytime, anywhere, from any device. “Let’s Talk! reflects our belief that every voice should be heard,” said Dr. Darryl Adams “Now anyone in our community can easily let us know exactly what’s on his or her mind. CVUSD is proud to host the Nuvo Voice Workshop and Xmas Extravanga by Grammy/Latin Grammy nominated vocalist Karina Nuvo and America’s Beloved Tenor and International Recording Artist Daniel Rodriguez, the former New York City Singing Policeman from 9-11! We are honored to announce that the Coachella Valley Unified School District will host the Nuvo Voice Workshop and Xmas Extravanganza on Dec. 12, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Desert Mirage High School Theatre!

Thermal, CA - On Wednesday, November 19, President Obama will host “ConnectED to the Future,” a convening with superintendents, and other educators from across the country, who will lead their schools and districts in the transition to digital learning. The event builds on the momentum of the ConnectED Initiative, a plan the President announced in 2013, to connect 99% of students to high speed internet and empower teachers with the technology they need to transform teaching and learning. An important part of this initiative is ensuring that digital connectivity supports innovation in America’s classrooms.
Coachella Valley Unified School District Takes Additional Measures to Ensure Student Safety

Thermal, CA– The Coachella Valley Unified School District is proud to announce that Christopher’s Club House will collaborate with the school district and make available free presentations on School Safety given the recent incidents related to attempted student abductions in the eastern Coachella Valley. All Coachella Valley Unified School District Schools will receive free School Safety Presentations from Christopher’s Club House. These presentations are student friendly and will be in assembly form, tailored for each grade.
