Retirement Benefits
Coachella Valley Unified School District is proud to offer an early retirement benefits package in recognition of the dedicated service of its employees.
Eligibility:
- Must have completed 15 years of continuous service with the District
- May retire at age 55 or older and under age 65
Benefits Provided:
- Retirees will receive the same health insurance benefits they would have received had they remained employed with the District.
- Monthly premiums will apply based on the retiree’s chosen plan
- The District will honor the medical cap (maximum contribution toward health benefits) in place at the time of retirement
- Note: The medical cap is subject to change
Benefit Termination:
- Benefits will end at age 65 or upon becoming eligible for Medicare or other group health coverage, whichever comes first.
